The College of Alameda is part of five colleges in the area, so it’s easy to transfer.

The medical technician program takes approximately one year to complete and qualifies graduates to perform phlebotomy tasks.

Located within Oakland city limits, Oakland University is a tremendous clinical, academic, and collaborative learning environment.
The school has a student body of over 2,000 at various educational levels and focuses on the foundational model of the behavioral and natural sciences.
In addition, Oakland University offers a phlebotomy certificate, a two-part program consisting of 10 weeks of classroom lectures in technical skills and theory, and two weeks of a full-time externship.
