Training Requirements in Ohio
In order to become a pharmacy technician, you need to be 18 years old.
You should also have a high-school diploma or GED, and pass a required background check.

How Can You Get Licensed in Ohio
First, you need to register with The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
You can register as the following:
- Certified technician
- Registered technician
- Technician trainee
As a certified technician, you will be able to complete more job duties and even get higher pay.
As a trainee, you are allowed one year during which you need to finish your training.
After the year expires, you will need to get register for one of the 2 other categories.
You will also need to take an exam, and you can choose from:
- ExCPT exam offered by the NHA
- The PCTE exam
