The first four courses will teach you the basics of an electrician’s work and the Motor Controls course lets you practice the skills you learned in your previous courses.

You can earn a Certificate of Achievement or an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
Classes are held in the evening, making it perfect for those already working as an electrician, but without a degree.
You are expected to be able to complete the hands-on work for the class at your job site.
The cost of earning your certification at this school is $966 for California residents and $6,000 for non-residents.

3 Capstone College
The Electrician program at Capstone College runs for nine months a year.
The courses are taught by licensed electricians, and include both academic studies and laboratories, where you will get hands-on experience.
While lectures are often held online, you’ll attend classes on campus in order to work closely with engineering instructors.
The school even has a job placement service that can help you find work after you graduate.
The cost of the tuition to complete this program is $15,700.
