All these summed together to come to 90 complete hours of training which is compulsory to undertake before being allowed to sit for the examination.

Upon completing hours for classwork, one can move forward and apply for the certification exam which should be within two years of completion.

If this doesn’t happen during the stated period, you will be forced to retake the course.

Here are the things one has to go through during the 12-week classwork training period:

  • Safety
  • Hygiene
  • Nursing skills

  • Clinical anatomy
  • Infection control
  • Physiology

As you work as a certified nursing assistant, you will have to take up the following tasks:

  • Feeding patients by gastric tube or mouth
  • Learn all patient help signals

Hello my name is Sheila Sloan. I was trying to see how to get my Cna license back. I have had a Cna license in NC in 1990 where I have worked in a nursing home and then I move to Florida and Memphis. When I work in Memphis I was working at Graceland Nursing home and I left there and was working as a caregiver. I didn’t know my license has expired so I was still working. What do I need to do to obtain my license back. Thank you in advance.
