The type of training you need
There are 3 types of truck driving programs, with some being as short as 8 weeks.
The most common license in the industry is the Class A license, for which a 6 to an 8-week course is enough.
If you want to get specialization, look into getting an associate’s degree in diesel technology.
This course will last for 2 years, but if you only want a diploma, you can attend a 1-year program.
Washington State Community College offers a 2-year program with an associate’s degree.
If you don’t have time to attend school during the day, you can opt for an evening class.

You can choose between a course that lasts for 8 weeks and has all evening classes, or a 4 to 6-week course happening in the daytime.
